Mix together:
3 sticks butter
8 oz. cream cheese
6 eggs
3 c. sugar
3 c. sifted cake flour
dash of salt
2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 to 2 c. chopped pecans
Bake in a well greased loaf or tube pan at 325° for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
Icing:
6 ox. cream cheese
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. margarine
1 box confectioners sugar
Mix all ingredients well. Spread on cake.
