Carla’s Salsa

Carla’s Salsa

by Carla Tuhacek

1 cup chopped jalapenos
1/2 cup chopped chili peppers
2 green peppers (sweet)
3 medium onions chopped and soaked in 3TB cider vinegar
1 heaping tsp chopped garlic
7 tomatoes, chopped
1 can tomato paste
4 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1 TB chopped cilantro
2 TB olive oil

Mix all this stuff together and cook about 20 minutes. You can substitute any peppers for the jalapenos and chilies. Use your own discretion in seeding the peppers…the more seeds, the hotter the salsa. If canning, process in jars for 30 minutes.

WARNING: WEAR GLOVES WHEN DEALING WITH HOT PEPPERS! (Don and I made the mistake of not wearing gloves the first time we made this, and were seriously hurting from it!)
