Brownie Dessert

Brownie Dessert

by Nancy Ballein

This is a very decadent chocolate dessert- especially when placed on a tall pedestal glass dish.

1 box Duncan Hines with walnut brownie mix (or equivalent of some other brand)
(I use the ones with separate chocolate packet. If you don’t you may have to add chocolate syrup to make batter moist)
1 egg
1 Tbsp. water
1/3 cup oil or applesauce

Mix and put in 9″ round pan, greased and floured. Bake 350° for 38-42 minutes. Cool 10 minutes.

Melt 6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips with 1⁄2 cup butter or margarine in microwave. Stir until smooth. Spread over brownie.

Refrigerate for 30 minutes, then remove and store at room temperature. Serve with whipped cream if desired.
